Court-Size and Differences:
The size of a padel court is 20m by 10m three times smaller than the size of the tennis court. You can say that the tennis court is larger than padel court. In Tennis court, the court is segregated into two opponents sections with a net. The padel court is required to be enclosed with walls while there is no inclusion of walls in the tennis court.
Padel Racquets:
The surface of padel racquets measure 26cm by 29 cm and the total length of the racquet is 45 cm. The padel racquet is light and can be managed easily by the player with a hole on the surface to ensure airflow. Padel Racquet is made of more than one material. Tennis racquets are also made up of composite material but heavier than padel racquets.
Ball:
The use of the ball is the same in both sports but there is a difference in the pressure on the walls. In padel the pressure imposed on the ball is low whereas the pressure on the tennis ball is higher than the padel ball.
Players:
The padel game is played in a pair against a single player in tennis. The padel players stand in pairs from both sides which is a major difference to identify both games.
The Scoring System:
The scoring system of tennis and padel game is similar to each other as both games are played in three sets and each set includes 6 games. The points of games are as follow: 15, 30, 40 and game.
Motive of the Sport:
The motive of padel is to obtain two out of the three sets included in the match. Both of pair should work to defeat the counter party and keep the rapid movement as the padel court is smaller than the tennis court.
The Rules of Padel Game:
Winning condition:In the Padel game to win the match the pair must work together and should obtain at least 2 out of 3 sets. After satisfying this condition, the pair who did this is said to be the winner.
Walls: In padel games there are walls included around the court which are covered in the sport. The players should also hit the walls after hitting the ground.
Tie: If the total score of both teams is 6-6 then there is a draw or tie between two teams. The team has to play continuously until the players score reaches 7-6. Or you can say until a team does not get two-point ahead of the counterparty the tie will be continued.
Serve: The first serving of the ball is determined with a toss and then the match continues from the left to right. The ball is passed by one team to another continuously based on the ability to continuously pass the ball.
Double Bouncer:In padel there is a double bouncer rule stating that the ball should first hit the ground and then hit the walls and after that should again hit the ground before passing over the net.
Opposition Point: The opposition party may win point is:
The ball bounce twice.
The ball hits your fellow player.
The ball hit the wire fencing or anything before hitting over the net.
